Showdown Season Update: Timeline Change

In the past, Showdown season lengths have been inconsistent. Some ran longer, some shorter, and the pacing of new content suffered for it. That also made it harder for us to develop and polish new modes on a reliable schedule. Going forward, all Showdown seasons, starting with [Paramount], will run for a standardized 6 months. This gives us a consistent window to deliver content and gives you a predictable cadence to play around.
This means the current [Paramount] season, including the Paramount Showdown Pass, is extended through September 3(UTC+8). The new Hero Inor Wan will also arrive on that date.
Here is what we have planned in the meantime:

·1.On June 17(UTC+8), we will introduce a new batch of Curios in line with the scale of previous six-month seasons, and make balance adjustments to all Curios, including those from past seasons.

The limited-time mode [Demonbane Realm] also returns in this update, along with a Showdown event featuring exclusive rewards including [Crimson Choice Gift ×3] and more.

*Crimson Choice Gift: Choose from any past season chest released before the Oracle season, excluding Tidal and Cavalry

·2.Later in the Paramount season, we will introduce two brand-new modes:

① New Mode [Codename: Chaos Advent]

Since Showdown first launched, we have been looking for ways to break the mold and offer experiences that feel genuinely different from anything else in the game. This one takes that idea further than ever. Your Sense level and Souljade progression do not carry over. Everyone starts from zero. As the Chaos closes in, you race to level up, grab whatever Souljades, items, and Moves the game throws at you, and adapt your fighting style on the fly. Plan your route as a team, share out the gear, and take on whatever comes your way together.

Whether you are just getting started or have been here since day one, this mode is built for everyone to have a great time.

② New Challenge Mode [Codename: Infinite Trials]

We have heard you. Based on survey feedback from the Showdown community, we are building a mode designed specifically for players who want to push themselves to the absolute limit. This mode demands both deep investment and sharp execution, and lets you set your own ceiling on difficulty. Prepare three completely different loadouts of Heroes, Souljades, and Curios, then take on three Enigma Domains back to back. Stack Omens onto each stage to ramp up the difficulty and your score multiplier. The harder you make it, the more you earn. This is the endgame experience for players who want to prove they can handle anything Showdown throws at them.

On top of new leaderboards and ranking rewards, top scorers will earn limited-time profile backgrounds and aura effects on par with The Herald's Trial Champion Points. A way to make your mastery impossible to miss.

·3.New Move Souljades and Move Souljade Balance AdjustmentsMove Souljades have not landed where we wanted them to. The variety they were supposed to bring to builds has not fully materialized, and we have been working on ways to change that.

We plan to add new Move Souljades and adjust existing ones to open up more combat options and strategic depth.

First half of the season: New Hero, new Souljades, and Potential system updates

New main campaign stages (new bosses) / Topaz and Enigma Peak / Nirriti's Ruins / Yama's Abyss / Suffer No Demon or other returning event modes

Second half of the season: New Hero (not applicable to the Paramount season), new Curios, new Move Souljades, and seasonal balance adjustments (including buffs to underperforming Heroes, Souljade and Curio balance passes, and new Souljades or Curios to round out existing builds)

Tempered Inferno / New mode / New challenge mode

We know a season extension is not what anyone was hoping to hear, and we appreciate your patience. Thank you for sticking with us. We are committed to making "Showdown" the best it can be, and everything ahead is a step in that direction.
