The servers of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT will be suspended for maintenance from Jan 3rd, 2024 at 23:00 (UTC) to Jan 4th, 2024 at 03:00 (UTC). We suggest you log out in advance and enter the game again after the maintenance.

The details for this update are as follows:

 

Brand New Content

I. New Congeneric Weapon: Heng Sword

A blade of gold refined, a cold glint so divine.

In the new update, we'll be introducing the ancient Chinese weapon—Heng Sword. Try it out!

 

II. Fairyland Penglai Updates

1. Newly added Fairyland Penglai Guide

Players can access the Fairyland Penglai Guide through the Event Center or shortcut button. The Guide introduces all current gameplay and rewards, aiming to enhance players' experience in the Fairyland Penglai.

2. Sky-high Racing Update

New tracks and new quests with new racing challenges of various weapons are available! Create your legends of speed in Fairyland Penglai!

3. New Instrument Proficiency

(1) Increase your proficiency level by playing instruments or practicing with sheet music.

(2) Players can participate in a test when they reach proficiency at Levels 3/6/9. Passing these tests can unlock the Master Mode, increasing the maximum music score recordings and earning other great rewards.

Guzheng and Suona proficiency levels are now available. Other instrument proficiency levels will be added in future updates.

 

III. BATTLEPASS Updates

[Righteous] BATTLEPASS is now available, which includes a variety of valuable items and skins! Players can obtain more rewards by unlocking the Advanced Hidden Treasure! You can get a Treasure Scroll at the price of 1200 Gold and a Glory Scroll at 2840 Gold.

 

IV. PlayStation Exclusive Mode

A brand-new Solo mode ‘PlayStation® Tournaments - Martial Artist Solo’ is now open! Contend with other players in a 1v1 mode to experience the epitome of competitive combat!

Time of the First Tournament: Jan 4, 2024 00:00 (UTC) - Jan 31, 2024 20:00 (UTC)

After the game mode opens up, there will be a tournament held every day. In groups of 16, players will compete in 1v1 Best of 5 matches to advance, culminating in a group victory, after which the competition will end.

Tournaments are hosted on respective servers, each with its own start time. Please select the appropriate tournament to register. Once registered, players are required to join in within 5 minutes after the tournament starts.

Registration Instructions: To register, open the PlayStation Tournaments Card on your PlayStation, or select the ‘PlayStation® Tournaments Martial Artist Solo’ mode in game and select ‘Start Game’.

Participation: Before the tournament starts, log in to the corresponding server, select ‘Start Game’, and access the PlayStation Tournaments Card to join.

Event Rules:

Complete daily quests during the event to claim 50 Honor Medals - JAN. You can claim more Medals in the mail after advancing, and the quantity awarded for each rank is as follows:

  • 1st place: 300 Medals
  • 2nd place: 200 Medals
  • 3rd-4th place: 100 Medals
  • 5th-8th place: 50 Medals

Medals can be used for redeeming rewards and participating in rankings.

 

VI. Limited-time Event: Freeze and Heat

Specter Arch bites with bitter cold, whereas Cura Center harbors comforting warmth. Still, both prove ideal grounds for cultivation.

Event Rules:

1. Each day, you may choose one of the two Cultivation Zones.

Specter Arch: If you gain a Score from a Ranked match, you will get a 25% score bonus. If you lose a Score from a Ranked match, your Score loss will be halved. (Diminish Eurekas by 1). If you get a 0 Score, it doesn't consume an Eureka.

Cura Center: XP and Hidden Treasure XP from Survival, Casual, or Showdown modes are increased by 150% (Diminish Eurekas by 1).

You can choose only one type each day, and once chosen, it cannot be changed.

2. You will receive 1 Eureka once you've made your choice.

3. You will receive an additional Eureka for each event quest you complete. These quests are divided into 7 groups and each group is available at different times. The next set of quests can be unlocked only after completing the former ones.

4. Eurekas gained are valid for that day only. They do not carry over to the next day, so please use them in time.

5. Complete more quests to win more great rewards.

 

VII. New Cosmetics: Chat Bubble

A new cosmetic, Chat Bubble is added to Other Cosmetics > Social. When unlocked and equipped, it changes your texts' background in the chat channel.

The first three chat bubbles available in this updates are: [Star - Wolf King's Fang], [Star - Nine Tailed Destiny], [Star - Florescent Cryolite]

The above chat bubbles are rewarded when you unlock the Star-Collections with the same titles. The chat bubbles will be locked again if you no longer own the Star-Collections after trading.

 

VIII. New Attribute of the Outfits: [Talents Effects]

1. Players can apply new effects to the ultimates that support 'Custom Effects' by selecting HERO > Collection > Talents > Custom Effects.

2. The new Talent Effect for Feria Shen's [2674·Mech Prototype], Bronze Mech Paint - [2674·Midnight Prototype], is now available.

You have to own [2674·Mech Prototype] before customizing the effect of [2674·Midnight Prototype].

1. Season Rewards:

Season rewards will be awarded based on the highest rank gained in the ranked modes (Solo, Duos or Trios) during the Pioneer Season.

2. Score Reset:

Scores in the ranked modes (Solos, Duos or Trios) will partially carry over to the new season.

3. Hero scores and scores from Capture the Spirit Well, Shadow Surge, The Bloodbath, and Bloodsport will partially carry over to the new season, with a higher carry-over ratio for lower scores. The maximum score limit after carry-over is 10,000 points.

 

Hero Adjustments

I. Yoto Hime

1. When casting [Flying Edge: Resist], the character is immune to hit damage before completing the action of throwing the blade.

2. Each Ultimate Variant has undergone damage adjustments as follows:

  • The slash damage multiplier for all Ultimate Variants has been revised from 2.6/3.2/3.8 to 3.0/3.5/4.0.
  • The Attack Healing ratio for each variant has been boosted as follows:
  • The ratios for both [Demon Blade] and [Demon Blade: Combo] have been elevated from 30% to 40%.
  • The ratio for [Demon Blade: Restore] has been elevated from 60% to 70%.
  • The multiplier for extra slash damage of Demon Blade: Combo has been revised from 1.6 to 2.0.

3. For all Ultimate Variants, the duration of recovery frames following slash gestures has been slightly decreased.

 

II. Justina Gu

1. When casting [Arctic Wraith] and [Arctic Wraith: Blizzard], the knockback distance has been slightly expanded.

2. For all Ultimate Variants, the duration of the [Freeze Immunity] status, which is gained at the end of the Freeze effect, has been shortened from 6 to 4 seconds.

3. For the [Shadowswipe] and [Shadowswipe: Blizzard] skills derived from [Arctic Wraith] and [Arctic Wraith: Blizzard], if an enemy is hit during the sprint and the sprint process is interrupted by a melee move, the current move will have a slightly enhanced pulling effect and will prioritize attacking the target hit during the sprint.

//Dev’s Notes: Justina Gu can end the sprint process with an attack at any point during the sprint. A popular strategy among players using Justina Gu is to halt the sprint immediately after freezing an enemy to execute a charged attack. Given Justina Gu's rapid sprint speed, mastering the ‘sprint-brake’ strategy often necessitates substantial practice. Therefore, we are endeavoring to increase the permissible distance for targeting post-sprint, with the hope of simplifying the execution of the ‘brake’ for players.

 

III. Tessa

1. The duration for Rage recovery inhibition, following the casting of [Enchant], has been reduced from 15 seconds to 11 seconds. Similarly, the Rage recovery inhibition period after casting [Enchant: Bite] has also been reduced from 12 seconds to 11 seconds.

2. Upon casting [Enchant], Tessa recovers a small amount of Health for each enemy hit by the fox.

 

IV. Hadi

Each Ultimate Variant has experienced modifications to the damage dealt by charged attacks executed during flight:

  • The damage multiplier for [Aerial Ascent]'s charged attacks at all stages has been revised from 2.0/3.0/4.0 to 1.8/2.7/3.2.
  • The damage multiplier for [Aerial Ascent: Blaze]'s charged attacks at all stages has been revised from 2.0/3.0/3.5 to 1.8/2.7/2.8.
  • The damage multiplier for [Aerial Ascent: Rescue]'s charged attacks at all stages has been revised from 2.0/3.0/3.2 to 1.8/2.7/3.0.

 

V. Takeda

1. The Rage consumption upon activating [Demonic Aid] has been raised from 25% to 40%, aligning it with specific heroes (such as Justina Gu). Concurrently, the Rage requirement for casting [Demonic Strike] has been reduced from 25% to 20%, thereby maintaining the initial cast count at 3 times.

2. The damage multiplier for [Demonic Strike: Havoc] (Gold tier) cast after [Demonic Aid: Force] at medium to long ranges has been adjusted from 0.08/1.00 to 0.04/0.06.

//Dev’s Notes: Takeda has demonstrated outstanding performance in solo mode and various competitions, primarily due to the superior Rage recovery ability of his V1 skill. To ensure consistency with certain heroes, we've marginally increased the cost of activating his V1 skill. At the same time, while preserving his V3 skill's capability of drawing aggro and casting stable charged attacks, we've reduced Takeda's recovery ability at the Gold tier when drawing aggro at medium to long ranges.

 

VI. Feria Shen

1. The damage multiplier of [Gunplay] has been reduced from 1.0 to 0.1.

2. The space determination for deploying the beacon of [Mech Mayhem: Co-pilot] in narrow areas has been optimized slightly.

 

VII. Ziping Yin

The recovery amount provided by the [Sedate Soul] effect of [Saving Grace: Aegis] has been reduced from 500 to 300.

//Dev’s Notes: Ziping Yin has demonstrated exceptional performance in top-tier Trios and various competitions, thanks to her reliable survivability. However, the immunity to fatal damage provided by [Sedate Soul] has led to instances where her Health paradoxically increases when she is executed by an enemy. To address this, we have decided to retain this feature while reducing its minimum recovery effect.

 

VIII. Other Adjustments

The method for calculating the charge time of certain skills has been revised. Post this update, and the following skills will also benefit from the boosts provided by the [Skill CD Speed] Glyph:

1. Matari's [Flash: Repeat]

2. Feria Shen's [Rocket Thrust] when in the Bronze Mech form of [Mech Mayhem].

 

Weapon Adjustments

I. Katana

The issue where the actual strike range of the third stage of the Horizontal Strike was smaller than the range of its visual effect has been rectified.

 

Souljade Adjustments

I. Spear Souljade

A new Souljade, [Martial Art·Hexa-Harmony Spear], has been introduced to the game.

 

II. Staff Souljade

A new Souljade, [Martial Art·Shaolin Staff], has been introduced to the game.

 

Out-game Adjustments

I. Adjustments to the rules for calculating Hero Scores

We have adjusted the rules for calculating Hero Scores to enhance the impact of the Immortal War on these scores. Here are the specifics:

Upon completing a ranked mode or an Immortal War match, your Hero Score will be adjusted based on your performance and the current Rank Score. However, once you surpass the specified [threshold], the difficulty of earning Hero Scores will significantly increase.

[Threshold]: The base threshold equals to the current Rank Score, capped at a maximum of 7,500 points. In Immortal War, the threshold will be raised, with the increased ratio calculated as (highest score across various modes of Immortal War - 3,000)/8,000. For instance, suppose your score in Ranked Mode (Solo) stands at 1,000 points, and your peak score across various modes of the Immortal War is 5,000 points. In that case, when you engage in a solo Ranked Mode, the threshold for your Hero Score would be calculated as follows: 1,000 x (1+ (5,000 -3,000)/8,000).

 

II. Team Display Customization

Players now can customize each team Collection display by adding backgrounds, bases, and gestures.

 

III. Adjustment to Display of Teammate Performance in Previous Match

Visual effects have been enhanced, and a display time limit has been introduced.

 

IV. Rank

In future seasons, the Kills Leaderboard and Survival Leaderboard will be removed.

 

V. Rotating Mode

The Shadow Surge will no longer be part of the rotating mode, with only the Capture the Spirit Well gameplay retained.

 

VI. Baize's Blessing Updates

New items are added to the Baize Shop.

 

VII. Meeting Chest Updates

Purchases of the Meeting Chests have been reset. Players that had purchased the Meeting Chests before can purchase it again. With the same price as before, there are more and updated rewards inside the chest now, including the Legendary Longsword Skin, Peerless Treasure Choice Gift*10.

Meeting Chests on Xbox and PS5 will be updated in the next version.

 

VIII. BATTLEPASS Updates

Players who possess the Advanced Hidden Treasure Card can use it to deduct 1200 Gold when purchasing the Glory Scroll.

 

IX. Golden Poetry of Tang Event Updates

The rewards in the Golden Poetry of Tang Event have been adjusted from Pioneer Coins to Righteous Coins.

 

Showdown Adjustments

I. Combat Adjustments

1. In Showdown (Normal), the Attack of monsters has been slightly increased, and the number of revivals has been adjusted to three.

2. The behavior logic of monsters in Showdown (Normal) has been fine-tuned for each stage.

3. All Miasma Ghosts, except for Immovable, have been removed from Showdown (Normal).

4. Bronzoid Swarms have been removed from the Chaos of the Immortals (Normal).

5. In Omnius Descent, Toppled Mountains, Gelid Yushan, Together We Stand, and Chasm Undertow, a red dot marker will guide you to the portal after each revival.

6. The strike timing for the Blue Focus move of [Omnius·Beast] when stepping on water in mid-air has been delayed.

7. The timing detection of the binding array of [Fiery Monster] has been optimized, and the discrepancy between the strike range and visual effect range of Yi's Instrument has been rectified.

8. The probability of [Water Ent] spitting water toward the sky has been slightly reduced, and the hit detection of weak points has been relaxed.

9. Optimized the movement of monsters [Cursespawn], [Thunderspawn], [Axe Evil-Ent] and [Ocean Yaksa]. After being knocked down, they will stand up in their current place without rolling.

10. Improved the stagger animation when hit by the Hammer Evil-Ent's consecutive smash on the ground.

 

II. Yama's Abyss

1. [Soulfire Blades], [Moonbane's Wrath], [Annihilation Render], and [Shadow Eclipse] have been added to Yama's Abyss. When using heroes wielding the corresponding weapons, there's a certain probability of obtaining enhanced Extreme Souljades in the [Monster Area], [Hard-mode Monster Area], and [Boss Area]. These Souljades can only be used within Yama's Abyss and are not available for acquisition or development.

2. The 46th stage of Yama's Abyss is currently unavailable in this version. Please stay tuned for future announcements regarding its opening.

3. The ‘Eradicating the Evil’ quest will no longer appear in the initial 5 areas, which means its probability of occurrence in the final 10 areas has been increased, maintaining the overall probability of occurrence.

4. The description of Souljade effects during enhancement selection has been optimized.

5. The description of the effects of some Anima Rings has been optimized.

6. The effect of the Anima Ring [Contract Quests] has been revised from ‘Obtain a certain amount of Dark Tide Coins after clearing a Zone’ to ‘Immediately obtain a certain amount of Dark Tide Coins, with additional small amounts of Dark Tide Coins awarded for each subsequent Zone cleared’.

7. The strike location of the Boss move item [Annihilate Light] has been optimized.

8. The rules for refreshing enhancement content have been optimized.

9. The spawn locations of ranged monsters in certain stages have been optimized.

 

III. Stage Adjustments

1. The arrangement of strongholds in each difficulty level of Eventide Ember has been reconfigured to create a more compact distribution.

2. [Stage Clearance Tips] have been introduced to Eventide Ember (Normal), and the waiting duration in the Quality Square has been slightly extended.

3. The locations of several initial monster strongholds in the Shadowjade Mine have been optimized.

 

IV. Hero Adjustments for Viper Ning

1. The Defense Focus granted upon the cast of [Yushan Strike: Showdown] has been upgraded to Ultimate Focus.

2. The effect of [Moonbane Control: Showdown] has been adjusted to recover Armor when Health is full. However, the recovery amount has been reduced from 150% Attack per second to 85% Attack per second.

3. The damage multiplier of [Thunderbolt] has been increased from 1 to 2.2, and its Aegis-breaking ability has been increased from 1,300 to 1,540.

4. The damage multiplier of [Draconic Lightning Strike] has been increased from 1 to 2.2, and its Aegis-breaking ability has been increased from 2,000 to 2,200.

5. The [Thunderbolt] can now be cast after a period of charging.

6. The duration of startup frames for both [Thunderbolt] and [Draconic Lightning Strike] has been slightly shortened.

7. The strike range of both [Thunderbolt] and [Draconic Lightning Strike] has been slightly expanded.

 

V. Souljade Adjustments

1. Defuse·Combo (Concentrate), Defuse·Solve (Concentrate) and Defuse·Dash (Concentrate) are now integrated as Defuse (Concentrate), with an effect of triggering Defuse (Counterattack) more easily.

2. Defuse·Combo (Counterattack), Defuse·Solve (Counterattack) and Defuse·Dash (Counterattack) are integrated as Defuse (Counterattack) with an effect of Melee attacks and triggering Defuse can fill the Defuse slot. When it is filled, a Defuse (Counterattack) will consume the Defuse slot, unleashing a Counterstrike Combo that deals 60% increased damage.

//Dev’s Notes: We strive to reduce the difficulty for the new players to understand Defuse, and to familiarize them with the Souljade system and the mechanics of Defuse. Additionally, we plan to enhance the existing Souljades while preserving their sub-attributes, allowing for greater flexibility in Souljade builds.

 

VI. Fatigue Compensation

1. When Fatigue resets, you will gain random Legendary or Epic Showdown Souljades based on 20% of your drop rate last week. Only Souljades dropped from the completed stages on Morus Isle and Holoroth, or challenged Enigma Domain can be acquired this way.

2. Complete any stage to get the compensation.

3. Fatigue Compensation will be calculated starting from the first week and distributed on the second week.

 

VII. Souljade Recasting Adjustments

Recast Guarantee is now shown on the Souljade Recast Page, now you can check the remaining times to trigger the Guarantee when recasting the Souljade.

 

VIII. Others

A notice of the 'Max Sense Level of the Dropped Souljade' is added to each stage, which indicates the highest Sense Level of the Souljades you can get from the stage.

 

Feature Adjustments

I. PlayStation Optimization

1. Reduced the memory usage by approximately 80 MB while increasing the quality of textures and effects.

2. Optimized the CPU efficiency when executing multitasks to reduce frame rate fluctuations.

3. Reduced the game file size for updates.

Client Optimization

4. Increased the maximum stacking of buff effects in combat.

Brocade Treasure sells for 240 Gold. Open it and there's a chance to get Viper Ning's Extreme Outfit [Scarlet Bride], Akos Hu's Extreme Outfit [Wrathful Guardian], Polesword's Extreme Skin [Rebellion], and Cannon's Extreme Skin [Divine Trial].

Minimum Guarantee:

1. Loop Guarantee: On top of the basic drop rate, players are guaranteed to receive at least 1 Purple (Epic) reward within 10 Treasures. This can be triggered multiple times. ​

2. Special Guarantee: On top of the basic drop rate, players are guaranteed to receive at least 1 Red (Extreme) reward during the process of opening at most 100 Treasures. This cannot be triggered repeatedly.

3. Red (Extreme) rewards will not repeat until all of them have been obtained.

I. Hero-related Bugs

1. An issue with Takeda Nobutada's [Demonic Aid: Force], where the damage dealt was beyond expectations when hitting an enemy at specific distances with [Demonic Strike: Havoc] of White or Purple tiers, has been rectified. However, the hit effect remains unchanged.

//Dev’s Notes: Previously, at distances of 3-5m, 5-7m, 9.5-12m, etc., using [Demonic Strike: Havoc] of White or Purple tiers surprisingly resulted in higher damage than the one of Gold tier. This was due to an additional strike beyond our expectations. We've decided to keep this extra strike but have slightly reduced its damage multiplier.

2. Fixed an issue where Kurumi's skills were behaving abnormally under certain conditions.

 

II. Audio-related Bugs

1. The problem causing players to mistakenly hear a falling sound effect upon opening the home interface in Fairyland Penglai has been addressed, along with the occasional disappearance of background music.

2. The music-playing mechanism for emotes has been refined. Now, when a player in Fairyland Penglai uses an emote with accompanying music, the music will resume playing even when the home interface is opened.

 

III. Outfit-related Bug

Adjusted the foot sound effects for the Epic and Rare Outfits of Zai to high heel sounds.
